Establish the ideal geometry and achieve the smooth vehicle movement at the limit !
In the process of developing the FD2 Type R, one of the objectives was to make it faster than the DC5 in the Tsukuba Circuit 2000 course. Even though that objective has been accomplished, at other race tracks the FD2 is left with several problem areas.
In regard to the suspension geometry the location of the front roll center is far too low and the roll axis is bent forward excessively, which could cause a sudden over steer or a jerky movement.
J’s Racing roll center adjuster ball joint version correct both the roll center position and the degree of forward bent roll axis. As the result, the maneuverability of the FD2 at the limit is significantly enhanced with the smoothness. This part is very effective for a low-down FD2 as well as for the one with stock ride height.
Another benefit of the part is its function to keep the proper arm angle while the vehicle is on roll, which results in the stable contact of outer side tries, better grip, faster cornering, and prevention of the bias wear of tires. |
